We love riding mountain bikes here at Sellwood Cycle repair and to do that we need two things: Mountain bikes and quality sanctioned trails to ride them on.

Being a full service bike shop we have lots of mountain bikes and one in particular we really like is the Norco Fluid. The Fluid is a great trail bike for our region with enough travel and the right geometry to tackle rowdy descents but also enough snap and support to pedal back up for more. We are not the only ones who love the bike though, Vital and Pinkbike both gave the bike top honors in 2023. As far as the trails side of the mountain biking equation goes, our friends at the Nortwest Trail Alliance have our area covered. They support  the Rocky Point and Sandy Ridge trails close to town and countless other efforts to create world class riding near and in the Portland area. Although the group has and army of willing and capable volunteers none of these trails come together for free. And that is the point of this communication!

We are raffling off a Norco Fluid 4 mountain bike  with all proceeds going to the NWTA to build and maintain the trails we love to ride. This is a great opportunity to possibly get your hands on a sweet new mountain bike for the price of a few raffle tickets and at the least to put your money in the hands of the folks who can make that new trail actually happen. You can purchase the tickets directly from the NWTA website, but even better yet come into Sellwood Cycle Repair and if you purchase tickets in the shop they are two entries for the price of one. Maybe you don’t need a new bike? Consider grabbing a few tickets to surprise a friend who wants to get into the sport but have not yet been able to afford a bike, or for a family member who has grown out of their current bike.

The drawing for the raffle will be held here at Sellwood Cycle Repair on February 27th at 6:30pm.
