Our shop has long stood by the philosophy that the best bike is the one you love to ride. Find the one that makes you happy, and ride the crud out of it. One of our mechanic’s, Evan, is particularly adept at setting aside the perfect parts for an as yet unknown “someday” build, and then like some catalytic lightning blast everything comes together into a serendipitous bike build that’ll put a smile on your face. Or at least they make Evan happy (we assume he’s smiling. Everyone is wearing a mask these days.)

This build most likely started with the yellow frame-standers which he’s had forever, but then appeared out of the blue (er… yellow) as a complete bike. It spend roughly 18 hours as a geared bike, but then switching it to a singlespeed setup was all the difference between a casual ride, and an awesome one.

And IT IS fun to ride. The steel frame, BMX styling, wide moto bars and playful posture makes it a hoot to ride.

It’s like a Waverunner. “Have you ever seen a sad person on a Waverunner?”

Didn’t think so.
