We don’t always get stoked on new bikes, but when we do, we get REALLY stoked. Take for instance the new 2015 Kona Humuhumu. This bike has seen many, many iterations over the years, and after a short spell away has returned. Moving into the future, this city ripper boasts 29″ wheels and disc brakes – things we really dig.
So far three of us here at the shop have picked up a new Humuhumu. But of course, being us we couldn’t leave well enough alone. Each of us has made at least a few modifications to personalize our new bikes. We think they came out great!
Jeremiah just slapped some Continental X-Kings for extra shredding.
I dropped the chainring to a 34t and added a front rack.
But the real winner here would be Cary Miller. Cary ditched the stem and bars in favor of the new 35mm standard and then swapped out the singlespeed drivetrain for a 1×10 Ultegra / Zee combo.
Three different versions of the same bike, all within a couple days of each other. I think we have a problem…
Nice bike!
The blueish, is it a 18″(M) one?
Thanks!
