Jake has been helping out around the shop lately. (No, not the OLD Jake, but a new Jake. A younger, livelier, and more enthusiastic Jake.) You’ve probably been helped by his cheerful self if you’ve been by to do any shopping lately. In an apparent history of Jakes who work here also riding bikes named Jake, or even Super Jake, THIS Jake happens to have a really sweet Super Jake build that’s definitely worth sharing here!

This build is the perfect combination of fun and speed. The kind of bike that proves a CX bike and a “gravel race bike” can be one and the same. The pink/purple graphics on this 2018 Kona Super Jake frame really make the yellow Panaracer Gravel King tires pop with color.

The wheels are Hed Belgiums laced to DT 350 hubs, and it’s sporting a Shimano Ultegra RX / 105 drivetrain. If you haven’t already seen Jake putting down the watts at a race on this bike you wont miss it when you do. Let’s just say that strong riding ability runs in the family.

We’re hyped to have one of Portland’s up-and-coming talented young riders bringing a lot of charm to the shop, but bringing his sweet bikes by too.
