New for 2019, Bridge City CX is brought to you by local cyclocross institutions Erik Tonkin and Sellwood Cycle Repair. Situated on the grounds of historic Oaks Amusement Park in old Sellwood, BCCX offers a fine mix of fast grass straights and turns, punchy run-ups, fast singletrack, and rough riverside sand–all within view of the downtown Portland skyline. Come to race but stay for the event–the course runs through a covered beer garden, after all.
Portland Cyclocross doesn’t get more city than this!

An event like this wouldn’t happen without the support of our cycling community. We’re so honored to have our good friends at Breadwinner Cycles be the very first to just on board offering their support for this event.

“Breadwinner believes in supporting the Oregon bike racing family and we deeply value all the efforts Sellwood Cycles and Erik Tonkin have put into our community. If you want something to happen, you have to put in the work. This is why Breadwinner Cycles was the first to support the first CX race within Portland city limits in decades. If you believe in making our bike racing community better, you should offer to support and/or race as much as you can.”

And with a race venue just a short walk away from so many of Sellwood’s small businesses it’s also very much about the wonderful community we have here in our neighborhood. We are ever so grateful to have Tom Dwyer Automotive Services (a Sellwood institution) on board as one of the event’s title sponsors. Thank you!

Final race details are still being ironed out, but attendees and spectators can plan on exciting racing, an easy bike ride from downtown Portland to attend, and even a beer garden right in the middle of the race course!
